2009 Garden Grant Applications now available Online!

School gardens offer children a fabulous hands-on opportunity to bring learning alive! In this outdoor classroom, students can study science, math, literature, art, social studies – you name it!  There isn’t any subject that can’t be taught in a school garden, especially the life-long and valuable lessons about agriculture.

San Diego Ag In The Classroom is offering School Garden/Ag Project Grants from $250-$1000. Applications can be downloaded from this website beginning October 1,2009.  Grant applications need to be returned (postmarked) to the San Diego Farm Bureau by Friday, November 20, 2009. 

Grant awardees will be announced by December 30, 2009.
