This class, hosted by the San Diego County Farm Bureau, is for any producer interested in learning how to sell at a California Certified Farmers’ Market. Get comprehensive information on the rules and history of California Certified Farmers’ Markets from San Diego County Farm Bureau staff. Also, an inspector from the County Dept. of Agriculture, Weights and Measures office will  give a presentation on inspection and certification procedures.

There are 50 Certified Farmers’ Markets in San Diego County. At these events, participating growers get the full value of each dollar for their product. On Thursday, March 28, Farm Bureau is hosting a class – free for FB members – to give you all the information on how to start selling at certified farmers’ markets. Attendees will hear everything from ag and health dept. regulations to tips on staying comfortable during the market. If you’ve ever considered selling at a farmers’ market, do yourself a favor and come to this informational class. Inspectors from both the ag dept. and health dept. will attend to answer any and all questions.

Cost: $20 for non-members/Free for Farm Bureau members
