Farm Tour Day 2016- September 17
9 a.m.- 3p.m.
Enjoy a day in the country and get a behind-the-scenes look at how your food and flowers are grown on the Seventh Annual Farm Tour Day in San Diego County. This is an exclusive look at a side of San Diego County few people get to see. We take one day each year to allow the public an opportunity to experience farming life! We have a tour this year trailing from Bonsall to Valley Center. This tour includes six farms, with all of them serving as a great example of San Diego agriculture.
Guided walking tours, led by the farmers themselves, will take you through their unique farming operations and showcase a variety of the region's agricultural specialties. Tour participants provide their own transportation and will receive detailed maps and driving directions.
** Please note all locations are subject to change and farm names and addresses are never published publicly.
Farm Tour Day is an outdoor guided walking tour event. Tour stops are active farming operations where ground is uneven, unpaved, sloped, and may include stairs. Tour participants are urged to wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, sunscreen and hats. Strollers are not recommended. If you have accessibility concerns, please contact Farm Bureau prior to the event date.
