Certified Producers
Certified Producers are growers and farmers who have been inspected by the county Dept. of Agriculture and are certified to sell products that they produce on their property. Only ag products that are certified by the county Dept. of Agriculture can be sold at a Certified Farmers’ Market. This guarantees that the fruits, nuts and vegetables you buy at the Valley Center Certified Farmers’ Market have been grown in local soil by local producers.
These are the Certified Producers you will see at the Valley Center Certified Farmers’ Market:
Polito Family Farms ~ The Politos have been growing citrus in Valley Center for many years. They have a very large variety of citrus products you won’t find in one place anywhere else.
Donna Downing, Moonspinners Ranch ~ Donna produces wool here in Valley Center and then spins the wool and creates wool clothing and other products. These products are totally unique and locally produced.
Moosa Creek Nursery ~ A Valley Center nursery that specializes in California native plants.
Lorrie Scott, Lazy T Ranch ~ The Lazy T Ranch is certified organic and produces a wealth of fresh fruits and vegetables from apples to zucchini.
The Lavender Fields ~ If you didn’t get to visit The Lavender Fields when the farm was open for tours you missed out, but fortunately they’ll be set up at the market selling their own essential lavender oil and lavender products.
Orange Blossom Ranch ~ The Orange Blossom Ranch in Valley Center is a certified organic citrus producer. Alongside organic citrus you also may see some mangoes at their stand.
Casa Blanca Nursery ~ A large Valley Center Nursery that grows everything from vegetable starts to Gerber daisies.
Roots n Fruits ~ This Valley Center producer grows a variety of fruits and fresh berries.
Veronica Loera ~ Veronica will have a range of fresh vegetables from squash to beans. Veronica also sells at the Farm Bureau’s market in City Heights.
Eli Hofshi ~ Eli is the largest assorted vegetable producer at the City Heights market and has a range of leafy greens and root crops. He’ll often have a specialty item for sale that’s hard to find elsewhere.
There are two other producers who will be joining the market soon offering cut flowers and color bowls.
