San Diego Ag in the Classroom and the San Diego Botanic Garden hope you will join us for the 8th SDAITC Teacher Resource Fair, aka the Food and Flower Happy Hour on Tuesday October 4, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm at the San Diego Botanic Garden. This is a fun and educational event geared toward teachers and adult volunteers who work with children. Enjoy a happy hour filled with conversation about school gardens and San Diego agriculture accompanied by local wines and appetizers featuring San Diego produce.
Our main purpose is to share information with educators about the community impact and diversity of San Diego Agriculture, and how the teaching of agriculture can enrich children’s educational experiences. Whether it’s through a school garden, a field trip, or an engaging classroom presentation or project, agricultural issues bring STEM to life and make for relevant and real-world education. This year we are pairing up farmers with lesson activities found on the California Ag in the Classroom Learn About Ag website to give educators lesson ideas for the garden or classroom.
We would love to have you participate. Please contact us if you would like to be an exhibitor or if you would like to donate wine or produce or if you have any follow-up questions. We appreciate your consideration in joining us in our outreach efforts to local educators. Many thanks.
