Topic: Pepper Thrips and Oriental Fruit Fly: Invasive Pests to Look Out For

We applied for 1 hour of CEUs in the “Other” category with DPR.

Both pepper thrips (Thrips parvispinus) and Oriental fruit fly (Bactrocera dorsalis) are highly damaging pests that pose a threat to agriculture in San Diego but are not yet present in the county. We will cover the biology, management, and the current pest status of Thrips parvispinus and Oriental fruit fly as well as the impact both pests are having in other areas of the state and country.
